State of the Art on Data Interoperability and Management

This document is a comprehensive state-of-the-art review on data interoperability and management 
and its relevance for the Biomedical Informatics (BMI) field. It comprises data characteristics and 
ontologies, data integrating approaches, and ethics and confidentiality issues. It has been elaborated
by INFOBIOMED partners with the objective to produce a quick reference document that can be useful
for researchers in the BMI area and related fields.
